The English Honor Societies—including the ELA Honor Society, the National English Honor Society (NEHS), Sigma Kappa Delta (SKD), and Sigma Tau Delta—form a network of programs that celebrate excellence in the English language and literature across all levels of education, from middle school to graduate-level study.

Together, the societies provide a continuum of support for students as they grow into thoughtful readers, skilled writers, and engaged leaders, all united by a shared commitment to the transformative power of language. We do this by providing international recognition; internships; leadership and publication opportunities; scholarships, awards, and grants; and meaningful engagement with the wider community at each stage of a student’s academic journey.
